![]() ![]() Whereas previous Eleven Puzzles releases have been web-only, Unsolved Case was available on multiple platforms. Each segment of the game consisted of 4 subpuzzles that led into a single lock, a predictable format that would have become boring had it not been presented with slight variation each time. The puzzles in Unsolved Case were the highlight: light, clean designs, including riffs on some popular mobile puzzle minigames. This narrative prequel explained how the two detective protagonists with comically over-the-top accents first got lured into the lair of the Cryptic Killer. ![]() Unsolved Case provided a smooth introduction to the world of Eleven Puzzles, representative of their typical style and quality but with a shorter play time than that of their full-length games. ![]() And considering the price point (free!) I’d say it was an excellent investment. The puzzles were somewhat entry level so this would make for a great game to play with younger or less experienced players. This game was the second I’ve played from this creator and I really enjoyed the graphic novel-style artwork and the lilting accents of the voiceovers. Luckily, we were able to communicate to each other what clues we found in order to help each other solve the mystery. Unfortunately we had to split up to do so. My friend and I assumed the roles of two seasoned detectives tasked with solving a case together. Unsolved Case was a charming two-player, cooperative point-and-click game. ![]()
